Did you have any problem compiling the new kernel?

nope... no problems here, sorry. You might want to use the old config
file when configuring your new kernel.

I have a lean .config for 2.6.11.7 that you can 'make oldconfig' from if you are interested.

$ ls -l /boot
-rw-r--r--  1 root root  223253 Apr  9 11:44 initrd-2.6.11.7.img
-rw-r--r--  1 root root  480862 Apr  9 11:44 System.map-2.6.11.7
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1134679 Apr  9 11:44 vmlinuz-2.6.11.7

My system is:
Motherboard MSI KM4AM-V
Disk: 200GB S-ATA
Video: nvidia 5200
LAN: SMC EZ Connect Wireless G pci (this one needs ndsiwrapper to work)
Tuner 1: pvr350 (38)
Tuner 2: pvr500mce (56)
