I'll just pick up an s-video splitter today at Radio Shack, they run like 50 bucks or so if I recall correctly.

I'll use the bt878 for most of my purposes, and the pvr150 for the encoding specifically...

Now that I think about it, there's probably some distinct advantages to that sort of setup, like having dual tuner capability, etc.
