Can you actually look at the card and see if an saa7127 or saa7128 or -9 is
installed? If it's not easy to pull the card out to check this then don't
bother, it's mostly for my own curiosity.
Also, which module options do you have to set (if any)?
I'll try to, but it is in a small factor PC, and is hard to dissassemble
I posted the modules in another post
(I think the tvout is configured for PAL, but since it is through the scart
it does not matter )
Not being completely up to speed with SECAM, are there situations where it
would matter for TV-out?
AFAIK as far as scart is concerned, PAL & SECAM are the same thing
Only a small difference on colors coding. So (using the scart) the worst
that can happen, is that you get b&w image. Now all tv sold from the last
10 years are compatible with both. So tv out with scart or SVHS/composite
will always work
The aerial signal is different between PAL & SECAM (close but different).
So if you set it wrong you will have distorted /instable / pinkish image.
Sound is not coded the same way on aerial also.
So, as far as i know, (i'm not a specialist at all), if the tuner is set
to secam,
tv out is set to pal or secam, it is ok
Now this is for the french secam (which i believe is the same as russin
secam)
, there are other variant of secam that are different (brazilian / arabic).
Again, i'm not a specialist :)
HTH & thanks for your collective work !
i'm still amazed on how well it works
