Yan, thanks for the info. I'm not running out of inodes. I still have 69 million free out of a total of 70 million. It is ext3. The Filesystem features from dumpe2fs are: has_journal, ext_attr resize_inode dir_index filetype needs_recovery sparse_super large_file Blocks are 4K, Inode size is 128 If I have to reformat, then I'm just going to go ahead and buy a new drive. The thing is, I've got tons of stuff on this drive that I still haven't written off to DVD, so it's easier just to buy a new drive and format it the way I need it if this isn't sufficient. At the time that FC3 set up the file system, I seem to recall specifying something about large files as I knew the drive would tend to hold mostly captured mpgs and transcoded avis. I suspect the large_files from the filesystem features above is an indication of that. Is this still not sufficient as it is? Do you need more info?
