Hi all,
I just upgraded to the latest linux kernel (2.6.15) and latest stable ivtv
version (0.4.1) but have problems using the tuner. I hope somebody can
help me out here, as the device has already been working with a previous
kernel and ivtv version (don't have the install anymore but I guess it was
2.6.13 with 0.4.0, unfortunately i cannot reproduce this)
Anyway, I only have problems using the tuner. The S-video input works
fine! when I switch to input 0, I only get static/noise, on any frequency.
The previous setup also used tuner=38 (Philips FM1216ME MK3), given as
module argument, but now ivtv automatically detects the tuner correctly (I
guess it is the right one: I can also vaguely hear the sounds of the
tv-channel on /dev/video24, but it sounds like it cannot lock and there's
a lot of noise)
I tried the following versions without any luck (every time cold booting
the machine...)
ivtv: 0.4.0, 0.4.1 and 0.5.1
kernel: 2.6.13, 2.6.14, 2.6.15 (including tuner.ko)
Hopefully somebody can give me a hint how to proceed.

Here are some questions I can't answer
1. Do i really need the tda9887 module? I didn't use it in the past, but
ivtv complains about it. It doesn't make any difference though...
2. How do I make the tuner work?
Thanks in advance!
Richard
