Tom,

What exactly isn't working? If you cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg, is the
resulting file viewable with MPlayer? The 'module not supported by
Novell, setting U taint flag' error messages just mean that Suse/Novell
won't be all that helpful if you need assistance with that module.

Maybe try doing a checksum on the firmware that was downloaded, you
can do that here => http://www.ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Firmware (check
the bottom of the page), then make absolutely sure the firmware is in
the right place. I used to have my /usr partition separate, and IVTV
didn't like that my firmware was in /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware, so I had
to put it in /lib/hotplug firmware instead. Your logs show the
firmware being loaded though, so it may be OK.

tuner: type set to 29 (LG PAL_BG (TPI8PSB11D)) by ivtv i2c driver #0

Is this tuner type right? Are you in Germany? I think there's a
listing in the IVTV source somewhere. You may need to pass the ivtv
module a parameter or two upon loading.

Cheers,
Dustin
