The only thing I can think of is that you maybe have some old modules
installed from previous ivtv installation.


If this was the case, how would I go about completely removing the old
modules?

I thought fedora core 5 came with kernel 2.6.16? Did you create a 2.6.18
kernel yourself?


I didn't create the 2.6.18 kernel...I just updated everything (yum update)
after installing   However, I did follow the directions here so that I could
edit the .config file (only to find out the options I was looking for didn't
exist).
