We now have a test version of the formatter that Mark described. It will be standard in future releases of JabRef, but I've packaged it as a plugin for now, so it's very easy to try it out already now. Start JabRef, run Plugins -> Manage plugins, click the Download plugin button and enter this address: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15909095/net.sf.jabref.export.layout.format.Authors-1.0.jar After restarting JabRef the new formatter called "Authors" will be available. Mark's description applied, and for fairly simple testing you can go to Options -> Preferences -> Entry preview. There you can put the Authors formatter into one of the preview layouts and use the Test button to see the result immediately.
