Hi guys,

A bit out of topic for jallib, but I'm sure you'll be able to help me. I'd
like to buy an oscilloscope... Constraints: low price and not big (no room
for an analog one, for instance). Searching ebay, I've found nice Owon
oscillos:

 * PDS5022S: http://www.owon.co.uk/pds5022.asp , about 220 EUR
 * PDS6042S:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/Portable-Oscilloscope-PDS6042s-from-OWON_W0QQitemZ220326386887QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET?hash=item220326386887&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318about
280 EUR
 * PDS6062S: http://www.owon.co.uk/pds6062.asp about 460 EUR

Of course, PDS6062S is better, but far more expensive (well... out of my
budget). PDS6042S has 40MHz bandwidth & 250MS/s, but it not referenced
anymore on Owon site, so I'm not sure this is a good idea (but is on my
budget). Finally, PDS5022S is on my budget, has a 25MHz bandwidth & 100MS/s.

My question is: does the PDS5022S is enough ? You may ask: it depends on
what you'll do with it. I'd answer: debugging my circuits :) so that
involves visualizing logical levels, seeing current spikes, measuring
frequencies...

So will I regret buying a PDS5022S ? Should I really buy a 400/500 EUR one ?

Thanks,
Seb
