Comment #3 on issue 144 by robhamerling: Missing pin_c4/pin_c5 for 18F4550
device file
http://code.google.com/p/jallib/issues/detail?id=144
The issue appears to apply to PICs with LAT registers: core 16, but also
core 14H: the extended midrange PICs. And many but not all of these
have 'missing' pins.
I have a fix available which adds the currently missing pin definitions
(and their aliases). This fix does NOT add pin_Xy_direction definitions and
does not add pseudo variables for these pins. I expect this is good enough
for all practical purposes for the following reason: When these pins are
owned by builtin modules (like USB) the port cannot be used for other
purposes and when it is free these pins can be used for input only. So
there is no need to control the _direction, the pin will remain in input
mode even when you try to set it to output. Even stronger: because there is
no corresponding bit in the TRIS register, you can not set or clear it.
So if there would raise questions this seems the only and definite answer.
A new set of device files with this fix will be committed soon, after some
more checks.
