Sorry I took so long to resdond. I was away for a little while. The translation in Japanese kana and kanji is as follows (in UTF-8): I changed the word "suitaikei" 水態系 to "suimonkei" here, because this word seems more appropriate technical term for hydrology, but I'm not sure. Note that the words for animals are written in katakana. They usually use katakana for animals (including birds, fish and others) and plants, probably because the kanji for those words are often not listed in the Jouyou Kanji Hyou 常用漢字表. Just for your information, I give my own version of the translation: 市のすぐ外側には湿地帯があります。そこにはワニ、ヒョウ、シカ、カモ、ツル、タカ、ツバメ、ラクーン(タヌキに似た動物)、カエル、それに多種多様にわたる昆虫がいて、カもたくさんいます。 そこは非常に興味深く、 美しいところですが、人間が利用するために水の流れが変えられて、開発用に干拓されために水文系が乱されてしまっています。 Kamui [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
