Are you running on a RedHat box? My personal advice is to throw out the
Apache and mod_whatever packages that came with it, and compile it
yourself.
Worked like a charm for me -- hell, if you set up shop in /opt/www and
use DSOs, I'll send you my configuration scripts and GnuJSP setup to
boot. Of course then you'd have to set up your JDK in /jdk, but still.
