The servlet-based "AServe" web server mentioned in my previous posting
is now available with documentation from the URL
http://www.webcapable.com/
The new release includes an extensible web-based control panel that a
developer can easily use to control server and application logging
options for debugging.
This is a compact Web server based entirely on servlets and designed as
a development tool and for embedded applications. It is extremely easy
to configure and contains built-in support for the GSP page compiler, if
GSP is present in your CLASSPATH. Since it has been used for website
development for a few months it should be pretty stable.
AServe is derived from Jef Poskanzer's rather well-known Acme server,
beefed up with complete support for the version 2.0 servlet API. It is
available under the Library GNU Public License.
