I have no links.  I am just going on private conversations.  The RIF pertains to all of the Java Media API's from my understanding.  If someone has more info, please forward.   One reason that I am concerned is that I have nearly completed my book on Java Media API's--if there is a major brain drain of the Media API's--well I think you can see the potential problems.   So, what I understand is that there will be a much smaller group developing Java3D.  This will probably delay the release of v. 1.4.    Once we get the whole story, we can start to see where to go from here.  I really don't know how serious the situation is but I would like to see some info...   This may be a good time to ask, "when is Java3D going open source"....   -----Original Message----- From: Discussion list for Java 3D API [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Yazel, David J.
