[JAVA3D] Future of Java Media

Hello--

I have heard from reliable sources that the Java Media APIs are

dramatically cutting back and RIFing many talented people.

At first this would seem really bad but in thinking about it

I know that much opportunity comes out of these situations.

Two things I would like to see discussed are:

1) Can someone at Sun (perhaps Mike Schullman) fill us in on

what is happening? These changes affect all of us and

we should not be kept in the dark about the future

plans.

2) Any entrepreneurs out there have some ideas of

how we can make lemonade out of these lemons?

I would like to wish all of those who lost their jobs

the best. There are many fine people among those

and I am sure you will all land on your feet in a

big way.
