Is there good site beside J3D.org that list all java3d application developed
on the net?
I think there is not much application example that shows what java3d can do.
I tried to contact people from j3d to put my java3d pool game, but without
any success... nobody replied to me.

I think it would be good to have such site, to promote java3d.

Doing things like wrapping Java 3D defeats the purpose of
both open software
and the open source process that asks us to improve the
original offering,
in this case Java3D. Those of us who are interested in doing
3D rendering
in Java need to devote our energies to improving Java 3D
itself.

Creating add-ons to a basically sound API only contributes
to the
                possibility
that it will remain in its less functional state for a
longer period of time
                as
people less devoted to keeping open source the best offering
for a
                particular
task start to pick up on 3rd party extensions that are now
just another
proprietary variation on what Java 3D may very well do
better in the future.

It is through the unselfish dedication of open source
contributors that have
made the software world a much better place to work and
play.

There will always be others who will try to capitalize off
of the free
                stuff.
As for myself, I'd much rather look at the original API and
make suggestions
or offerings that will make it better. That's why we all
come here in the
                first place.

                -RJ

I have to agree with Frederic on this one! From the looks of
things you
really don't seem to be in a position to criticise Java 3D.
Don't get me wrong; I think everyone on this site is willing
to accept
constructive criticism, but yours seems unfounded and
basically opportunism.
