*yawn*, look, your petty j3d Vs java3d.virtualworlds.de arguements are getting dull, neither of you have the whole truth. Nor do I. Sun have never said java3d is unsupported, what they have said is the development is in a holding pattern. They also 'moved' some people from the java3d team (I think there maybe a couple of people looking at bug reports, but all the devs seem to have gone). Doug from sun said that there are plans for java3d, but couldn't say what they were as they weren't decided, and we haven't heard anything yet. Some of the java3d dev guys are now working on core game technologies (jogl, jinput and joal). So whats the future of java3d?, who knows, no one here knows, and if they do they aren't allowed to say, and there is no official word from sun for a good few months. I know that doesn't help any, but thats the situation we are in.
