This would certainly be a great step for Java3D
and probably for Sun too.
SGI will apparently support Linux actively for
their VisualPC's and I assume that means that
we will very soon see Linux with awesome OpenGL
support.
I can well imagine a development where Linux on
such a system will become the dominant widespread
platform for immersive VR.
Anyone working on a Cave on such a system already?
