It's a fact that you can't exist as a human being in isolation. Even Larry and Stock Holders can't exist, if there is not somebody bringing away their excrements. And if nobody is using Oracle databases any more and nobody using Java any more, nobody cares about Larry and his stock holders. Reputation is the word, that is important in the long term. Maybe Larry and stock holders are thinking short-term because they already have enough money.
