I simply flipped your own argument to show it was pointless, what you
may consider unfeasible today is trivial tomorrow. Mainstream CPU's
with 16-32 cores are right around the corner, yet you insist making
overhead and lack of speed a primary argument.

We are talking about the VM's and bytecode here, not specific
libraries or how they are implemented. Part of .NET may delegate to
COM underneath, but that's a completely orthogonal matter.
