Hi Rob,

Once you've shut down the search pane, go to the tools menu, then arrow up 
to folder options.  Once the dialog  box pops up, control tab over to the 
view tab, and you'll hear something like make all folders like the current 
folder, the change will take effect the next time you open them.  At this 
point, just press the spacebar, to activate the button, and you'll get a 
secondary dialog box that says your folders are now changed to look like the 
current folders.

I'm not sure if this is the exact message or not, but it's something like 
that.

Just press the o.k. button on that secondary dialog box, then the o.k. 
button on the primary dialog box and you're done.
