You have to be careful about this, as I have recently discovered. You can do that method of pressing alt+F then the letter W for New, however, if a file is highlighted, you may land on another choice for the letter W.
For example, if you have an MP3 file highlighted, and you use that combination of letters, the first choice you'll land on is add to winamp playlist, or something like that. Another thing you have to realize is that sometimes you'll land already in the new sub-menu, and you find that you've pressed W and landed on another choice that begins with the letter W. In my case, it's add to WinRAR archive, followed by WinZip archive and so on and so forth. The moral of this story is, listen to what Jaws is saying before just pressing the letters, otherwise you'll land on something else you may not want. Smile.
