Hi I use the control home technique to get to the top of the email text. Why? IMHO, it is not totally in the reader's control to start at the top since the sender, based on how they end the email, has the control. If the sender just ends the email at the bottom, I have found that that position is what I inherit as the reader. If the sender ends the their email by going back to the top of it before sending it, then you start at the top.
This logic works most of the time, but since the reader does not control the sender's client, it turns out to be a crap shoot, thus The control home behavior is constant and works to get you starting to read at the top of the email. Patti Patty, Using outlook 365 2016 with windows 10 creaters update build 1703 15063 and jfw 18 latest build can conferm tat this happens though it does not happen with every message. I can not tell when it does, but most of the time it will do it. I just go to the top of the message with ctrl home and start reading and all is well other wize.
