Ok, I'm no expert but have you tried using this card reader on another computer? Looks like you have tried more than one SD card. If the cable is detachable, maybe it's worn. Just a few things that came to mind, sure hope you get it resolved...Norma

The problem I'm encountering is in File Explorer, but not all media. I've only encountered the problem with SD cards in my built-in card reader. File Explorer works as expected for my local SSD as well as my external USB drive and my NAS drives. Just today, I slipped an SD card into my card reader and experienced the same problem. In fact, even arrowing to another folder caused the delay. This makes navigating through the file structure a very slow process. I hope someone can offer a remedy for this problem.
