I have 2016. I just did a CTRL + A and pasted into NOTEPAD. Then I created a new Word document and pasted from Notepad into it and it did away with formatting except for carriage returns. This is because Notepad recognizes carrieage returns. Perhaps you are using Wordpad or something like it that has some formatting that is causing your problem? George

I believe this removes formatting. I just tried it in Word2013. I typed a line and then underlined then use shift+control+n and underline removed. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Dave...Oregonian Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2017 10:46 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] remove formatting Kevin, no horse hockey here. I suspect you just need to delete the Word document text before you paste the Notepad text back. Steps: Select all in Word Ctrl C copy Del to clean it out. Open Notepad Ctrl V to paste Esc to remove highlight Ctrl A to select again Ctrl C to copy Go back to the empty Word document Ctrl V to paste. I am intrigued by those other suggestions of Alt + H + E and alt, ctrl, shift, S with F6. Have to try them some time.
