I am also using JAWS2018 latest build. Here is what I find when I am in a Word document and I use Insert to open the JAWS Quick Settings Menu
Down arrow and you will find an outline arrangement of the various settings. Level 0 Word Settings Level 1 Speech & Sounds. Trying doing the following: 1. Open JAWS Quick Menu with Insert+v 2. Navigate down to Edit Options. 3. Navigate down to New line and paragraph indication. 4. Press space bar until you hear "Off". 5. Tab to OK and press space. Let us know if this does the trick.
