GoldWave I think is simple to use, but system sounds can't be silenced at
least I don't think so.
GoldWave is a fully functional software, but when starting everytime it pops
up the introduction screen. you need to register it to never see that
screen again.

Oh yes, I do have another question. When using Audacity, is there a way to
silence system souds while recording? You can set Total Recorder to do
this, but am not as familiar with Audacity?

I got a virus warning from using the youtube to mp3 site. However, when I
tried to download the program, says that program cannot be downloaded.

download site, I believe, was videosoft.
I'm going to check for another site, as this virus thing that keeps

up is threatening to disable my PC so the network won't get infected. I
don't believe it, of course, but don't like it.
