If you use firefox and greasemonkey, there is a script to toggle the
star and characters,
This works in the folling way.
below the password field, there is a link labeled as t, pressing enter
on it changes the password.
2. there is another addon called password manager, which remembers the
posswords, you can change the entries in it.
when user name is typed and tab is pressed, it fills the field with the pw.

I almost always use the copy and paste method. Some of my passwords are

not even know it as the thing is 40 characters long.

Why is typing the password so difficult? If you are finding that you
need JAWS to speak back each character you are typing because you make
mistakes, I suggest (and please don't interpret this as condescension
or rudeness, because that is not my objective at all) that you buy a
typing program such as Typability or Talking Typer to improve your
typing.

what i would like to see is a way to turn off the stars all together for
passwords and speak the keys i press.
the sites below do not have the option to show the passwords i have typed
in.
i am getting sick and tired of haveing to type my passwords in note pad
and

copy and pasteing them into the password fields because it won't speak
the
keys
i press. at least window eyes has the option to speak the keys i press.
and don't tell me i need to learn how to type without speech. many web
sites

only give you 3 chances to get the password before you are locked out of
the

accounts.
my bank ,c v s pharmicy, office of personnel management ,kiser etc.
all require me to call them to prove who i am.. then wait up to 10 days
for

them to snail mail me a tempory password before i can access these
accounts.
where is the security in this when i have to have someone else read back
the

pin number that was mailed to me so i can record them to a voice
recorder
and
type them in when i get home?

Hi Robin,

I have been experimenting with the, *, dictionary tweak, & Jaws only
reported UnReconciled when typing a password if I tweaked the Default JDF
dictionary manager, but not when I tweaked the Word JDF dictionary
manager.
The Word JDF dictionary manager was my experimental application.

But, if I changed the tweak to,* , a star then a space, in the default
JDF
dictionary manager, then used a space after the star in the Word
application
JDF dictionary then everything worked as it should all the way around.

What I'm trying to say is if you want the,*, to say, UnReconciled in a
home
budgit, then add a space after the star in the application dictionary,
but
then you'll also have to put a star then a space in front of any entry in
the application as well.

If I've totally confused you by now, just let the list know what
application
you want to use, & I'll type up a set of steps that'll get it done for
you.

Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.
Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement. In

You don't have to be crazy to run a list like this, but it does help.
