Weird. Do you by any chance have another machine you can try it on? Don’t' recall any more since it's been a while, but I don't remember having to install anything else per say. Reader mode is to the best of my knowledge built into Firefox at this point. Perhaps tried with a separate portable version of Firefox?

I followed your suggestion, but reader view is still not working for me. control-alt-r does cause JAWS to pause, after which it sometimes resumes reading, sometimes not. But when it resumes, it reads the ads, etc. I hate to clutter the list with this problem. Thanks also to Mike B for the notes on the reader view extension. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List <jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com> On Behalf Of Cristóbal Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 4:56 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox reader view Even after invoking reader mode, you still have to navigate to the actual article. Heading, next block of text that isn't a link, etc. You're not going to be placed at the start of the article or whatever it is you're trying to read. I just finished reading an article in the New York Times in reader mode and it's working fine for me. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 1:17 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox reader view Jim, I also have a subscription to the New York times. Like you, I press alt-control-r. Then I press the JAWS command for "say all." Nothing happens. Any hints? -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List <jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com> On Behalf Of Jim Pursley Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2018 3:06 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox reader view I have no problem using reader to read New York Times, Washington Post and Financial Times articles. Maybe that's because I maintain a subscription to each of them. All 3 have varieties of pay walls. By the way , I access reader with alt/control/r. Alt/control/f does not activate for me. As I recall, the short cut key alt/control/r is listed next to the reader view option in the Firefox top line menu. On 4/11/2018 1:28 PM, Cristóbal wrote: > Don't know what to tell you.
