hello; you said; I have 17 in my downloads folder, as well as in the programs page of control panel. if this is the case, most likely you already have the jaws17 installed. what you need to do is to create a shortcut to start the version 17. give this a try;
1, unload the current version of jaws your running. 2, type: windows-key+r=run, 3, type: jaws17 press enter. this should load jaws 17. if this is true, now you can create shortcut for this version, example, alt+ctrl+7.
