Your best bet may be to contact the Webmaster and let them know of the long backlog of podcast episodes. Really though, that part doesn't take up much space at all - it's just names of files, so to speak. If it still annoys, you could use another podcatcher, such as IE7, Golden Ear, even Winamp. the best working, also with JAWS, are Juice and IE7 (the RSS part of it, which also picks up podcasts).

There are some that have feeds clear back from 2005. The cleanup option didn't do it, deleting them one at a time didn't do it and selecting them all and pressing the delete key didnt do it either. Thanks, though. I've learned something. Vickey that is what I did. I tabbed in to the list of subscriptions tabbed in to each one and removed the list of podcasts that I have downloaded. I have no idea though as some other people have stated if this would mess up anything in regards to the receate of any future podcasts. Just to be on the safe side I un subd from the feeds by deleating them and then re subd to them by re adding them back. I know what you are talking about and I hope this helps clear up what you are saying. from Mich Verrier.
