Hi Mike,

I'd say: Being checked to start up automatically in msconfig was what
caused the inability to delete the file, as it was this being checked in the
msconfig start-up which caused it to show in the System Tray. (You would
also have been successful if you stopped it from running via
alt-ctrl-delete; and then went over to delete it.

Hi E.J.,

In answer to your questions.
1. This program allows you to adjust volume on the fly using hot keys and
not having to open volume control.
2. I did try uninstalling through Add/Remove Programs in the control panel
and rebooting and I would get the same error message when trying to remove
the remainder of the program from the Program folder.
That got me to thinking. Oh no, now I'm in trouble! I went to the system
tray and even though most of the program had been removed it was still in
the system tray. I then went into MS config, start up page, unchecked it,
okayed it, rebooted, and with the program not showing up in the system tray
I was then able to remove the rest of the program from the Program folder in
the C drive. I am assuming that showing up in sys tray was creating that
message about it being used by another person or program. Thank you for
making me scratch my head a little harder. Take care.
Mike

Good evening,

1. Doesn't the Windows system tray already have the option to change
volume?

2. Did you uninstall from Add/Remove Programs, or Vista equivalent?

3. Try rebooting to free up the resources and then try deleting again.

Everett
