I have gotten the nag about the new version for a while, but have not
received any notification about a mandatory upgrade, and my WLM still
worked normally this morning before I left for work.

I haven't received the notification yet. They did say though that
they're
slowly rolling out the update and it just hasn't reached us yet.

Windows live messenger tells me now that I have to install the newest
version to continue to log in. I am not going to rant about how much
that
makes me mad. I downloaded the newest version not too long ago and it
did
not work at all for me. Is that the way it will be? That I will no
longer be
able to use messenger because of Microsofts conviction that they know
what
you want and what is best for you?
anyone know if there is any way around this or if it is just to grit my
teeth and push the ok button?
maybe this question has been dealt with here but I didn't pay
attention.
