If you mean the welcome screen, you can disable it in the options menu under settings. Then it won't come up again when you start the messenger. chrissy -----Original Message----- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Devona Abel Sent: Saturday, October 03, 2009 8:52 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] live messengerbeing difficult-Yahoobeingstupid-Switching to Miranda How do you close the open window with all the extra chunk in it? I too think it works well with jaws 10 too, which is what I am using currentlyusing. My sighted friend said a lot of the latest version has to do with appearance changes, like they know display the avatar on the opposite side of the chat window. The repeated alerts when someone writes you is something I actually like, because whan I have stepped out, I can still hear jaws announcing the message, whereas I would before this , lots of times, not even know someone treid to contact me until I checked the open windows. chrissy -----Original Message----- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Mark Driesenga Sent: Saturday, October 03, 2009 8:25 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] live messengerbeing difficult-Yahoobeingstupid-Switching to Miranda Good deal. I find it works really well with JAWS, though I really have to wonder what the new look is all about, since it looks like it always has, except for the annoying bullets in the message windows. And by the way, for anyone wondering, the annoying issue of JAWS repeating the same thing over and over when one receives a new message is merely how WLM works.
