There is no JAWS for the Mac, nor is there likely to be. Those same
people who coded iTunes 9.0 (for windows) knew (or would have known, if
they looked at the history of the iTunes application - which they
should have) how iTunes 8 was made accessible to *Windows*
screen-readers. I suspect that iTunes 9 will, eventually, be made
accessible to Windows screen-readers. How soon that will be, is another
question.

here is how, voice over is built into the op. Windows based readers
are all third party add-ons. if voice over crashes it don't stop the
app, it just starts over. When windows readers crash its mostly a
reboot.
now all programs for the mac have to be built to use voice over or
they don't get approved by mac. Anyone can write software for windows
and not even think about it being accessible.

It is accessible using a mac with voice over, but on windows with
wineyes or jaws expect some parts not to be accessible. That is the
fault of the screen readers and what they support.

store isn't accessible. I mean they are saying on there website that
the store is easier designed for the visually impaired. Is it just
that we don't know how to use the store?
I mean if they are claiming itunes 9 is accessible then it should
be. I really don't wanna switch back unless I have to.

Go into your iTunes folder and copy the "iTunes Library.itl" file
to your
clipboard and put it somewhere. Then when you do manage to get the
older
iTunes installed, paste it over the existing iTunesLibrary.itl file
it will
create...unless your library is already there in iTunes first.
