A sub program is a stand alone kind of a deal that is accessed from another program using some sort of call statement much like DLL files are used to store and retrieve information from by a larger peace of software for example windows itself. What that means is just like your Skype scripts that place a use statement at the bottom of your default file you could do the same thing with those files as well and it would work.
