this number also consist of letters as well if you have to call them keep
it and write it down. I did my code since I threw out the cd by mistake way
back with jaws 6.

Hi. if you've done a fresh install, it's actually asking for the
authorization code. This is a long series of numbers and not the serial
number.
It should be on the CD you got with the original purchase of JAWS. Or, if
you were using JAWS back in the day, the first version to have this code
was I think 6.0.
I had to do this last year and I had the same issue until I found the 6.0
CD. The auth code is written in Braille and presumably large print on the
inside of the CD holder.
I don't remember if I used the CD or if I just typed in the numbers, but
that was the code I needed to make the software stop acting like a demo.
