Well Graham was just letting you know that has to be spoon fed computer instructions. As far as being a computer user Graham i think more instruction or reading on how to use computers will help. Because he will learn that its a sighted world and that is how directions are done. We as blind people have to make those types of conversions all the time even with the simple stuff.

My apologies but I don't always have the energy to make the conversions
prior to posting these items.

David this is a blind site and most of us are not sighted hence the reason
for subscribing to it. Also in my experience I dont believe a lot of blind
users are able to make these easy conversions as easily as we may think.

Sorry, but I really like this group but it does annoy me to see instructions
for sighted people.

Graham

I don't write them I simply post them. Yes you're correct but since the
world is mostly sited and instructions are written accordingly I figure it
is safe to say that we all know that on here and are able to make the
conversion in our minds.

May I just say that dragging and dropping may not mean a lot to a lot of
people on this list and that rather than doing that to unwanted icons on the
desktop, which is not easily done for a blind user, it would be mush easier
to select them and and then press the delete key.

Daily Tip:
Remove Desktop Icons

Over time, the Desktop on your computer can become cluttered with icons for
applications and shortcuts. If you don't use a particular icon, select it
and drag the icon to the Recycle Bin. Note the deleting a shortcut does not
delete the application it is associated with, so you'll still have access to
the program. Make sure, though, that the item you wish to delete from your
Desktop is actually a shortcut; if it's a file, deleting it will delete the
file itself.
