Caveat Emptor on Windows Mail. There are several reports of people who have done the registry hack to use Windows Mail on a Win 7 machine and have later had issues with Windows Update running properly. Just be forewarned. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Trish" <pzoell...@tx.rr.com>

Looks like I'll be hoppin' on the bandwagon using windows mail too very soon. I read and have in my favorites a very nice HTML of your complete outline of Window's Mail program.
I've been led to believe it's very close to OE, sure hope so..

Hi Jerry,
If you've in the contact folder, and want to select more than one contact, then you can just use the standard method for selecting items in a list which aren't necessarily next to each other:
1. select the first contact.
2. start holding down the control key.
3. move to another contact you want using the keys: down arrow, up arrow, home and end.
4. press spacebar to select the contact.
5. repeat 3 and 4 as desired.
6. stop holding down the ctrl key.

This method is only going to be useful is you have a fairly small number of contacts, as moving around just using the arrow keys, plus home and end can be a bit slow. Alternatives are to use select recipients dialog, as someone has already suggested, or to make use of autocomplete or check names. The latter two are described in detail in the guide to windows mail which I mentioned in a previous post.

David.

Hi Vicky,
To send an email to one or more of your contacts from the contacts folder, and using windows mail:
1. In your Contacts folder, select one or more contacts.
2. Open their context menu, then open the Action sub-menu (access key A), and then press Enter to choose the first menu item which is Send E-mail. 3. A New Message window opens. The one or more contacts are already entered in the To edit box, and the focus is at the end of this edit box. More info about windows mail can be found in this guide to windows mail for jaws users: http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Windows-Mail-Guide.html David.
