hi,

the answer is yes, and there are various programs you can use to speed things up or fully automate them, my favorite is called syncback:

1. Download - SyncBack - Newest version | 2BrightSparks.com
Download Now!
Freeware Version
-
Backup Software
-
Folder Synchronization
-
File Synchronization
www.2brightsparks.com/SyncBack
list end

if your system cam equipped with windows backup, it can be used to put all your data onto a disk in a compressed format. there are a few more that will work, I have a nicely accessible one that could be set to copy your C drive, and a separate job of copying your D drive, and you could put the two separate jobs into task manager to automate them, and still be able to activate them manually, if you need more links and info feel free to contact me off list and I'll make a full list of all the names I have for you

Hi Tom,
Did you mean, control, instead of alt?

Using JAWS

The way I do it, it is as simple as copying files and folders.
I use Windows Explorer to highlight the folders and files I want to copy.
You could just highlight the, My Documents folder.
Alt C, to copy
Then open the external drive and paste the files there, Alt V.
Then sit back and wait while the system does the copying.
Blessings,
Tom
