unfortunately that only works for smaller items
I have several 250 + page pdf's I need converted, there books that I have
both the actual book and a .pdf for, but its scan's and my systems choke on
trying to run openbook on them

Let me remind list members that for those graphical PDF documents, you can
easily e-mail them as an attachment to conv...@robobraille.org. You will
get back a text attachment of the document in readable form. If you send

that address and put doc in the subject line, the attached document will

in word format. You can also unload the PdF to www.robobraille.org and
have
it converted that way.

If the PDF file was scanned as an image rather than text I
don't see any way of getting around it other than what you
have done. I agree this can get very frustrating.

Sometimes I can press application key on PDF and I enter on
open with Adobe
x and the file reads fine. Other times it states empty
document or
something like that.
So my question is
Is there a formatting issue that could be implemented on PDF
file so that
when one opens it the PDF reads fine with Adobe4x reader?
I am on a web site and there is a PDF. When I open it
states empty doc.
I download it, scan with OpenBook and doc is mostly
readable. I would love
to instruct this web master to get PDF in accessible format
but haven't a
clue what to say.
Any help appreciated.
