This makes perfect sense since even Microsoft will not support Office 2003
anymore. At some point, we have to move forward and keep up with our sighted
peers. If all a person wants to do is be able to view an Office file, get a
free viewer. If you must create Office documents, then buy the smallest
package that supports your needs and watch for it on sale. Office Home and
Student is not to bad for the cost and I bought mine on sale on one of those
back to school almost give aways to get you in the store.

They already come with the later versions of jaws. They are just not
going to do any up grading to them

What scripts are these? I must have missed the original post. would you

FYI, about xp and office2003 users off another list.
Hi,
I got a response from FS and, as I expected, the official word is they no
longer support Office XP or 2003. They know the supplied scripts don't
work properly any more, but they are supplied for those people who "want"
to use them.
So I'm afraid anyone else out there having to use older versions of Office
is out of luck with the later versions of JAWS.
Perhaps FS could be persuaded to release the source code of the
unsupported scripts to the user community, so that those who "want" to
could fix them.
