ok, I bit the bullet and restarted after the updates, you are so right,
everything was checked sigh.
I'm rebooting again, after unchecking it all save MSE and something else,
probably drop box. Windows has booted, just awaiting for jaws to speak.

Thanks for being there, I'll write that down or save the email as to what to
do when faced in this situation again.

Then you would go back to the normal start up mode instead of selective
start up.
Everything in your start up would once again be selected.

ok, that is easy to do. But I want to ask one other tiny question, what
would happen if, I had selected normal verses the other 2 choices? I have
to be honest here..
I did that first, because after visiting David's site and not finding a
solution, is why I'm posting here.
So the computer is finished doing it's window's update and wants a reboot,
because I had chosen that normal choice, I'm afraid to reboot fearing what
it's going to come back up in. Will it like fix it's self here, fingers
crossed?

Tab to, don't show this message again and press your spacebar to select it.
Then tab to OK.

I am having a bad memory lapse today and desperately need help.

I need to just know what do I do after I've made some changes in my startup
on xp and that screen comes up in that what is it, selective mode?
I know there's something to do to make it go away, I just can't think of
what that something is.

So, before I damage this desktop, can someone take a quick minute and tell
me please?

Thanks,

Trish
