I had an Ati card in the desktop at one time and it had the same
problem, so I don't think it's the card at fault.

Odd, it sounds like you are using discrete graffics on that desktop. That's
the one with the problem right? I wander if we should invalve either NVIDIA
or better yet perhaps EVGA in this. Very interesting. I can't even tell you
if it's an old graffics card issue since I don't keep up too much with
NVIDIA moddles. I could perhaps ask Ryan Shrout from PC Perspective about
it. Let's see what he says.

I have not told Apple about it. But I'm not the only one who is having this
issue. People with computers running Windows 7 have it too. Here are the
specs. Try not to laugh too hard.
amd xp 2000+
2 gb pc3200 ram
160 gb hard drive
evga 8x agp video card using the nvidia g-force 6200 creative labs audigy 2
platinum gigabyte ga7-n400l using the nvidia n-force ultra 400 chipset and
the nvidia mcp (multimedia communications processor i think) windows xp pro
sp3 The laptop is using a duel core 2.10 gz intel processor, has built in
video and sound which includes a hdmi port, uses windows 7 home premium
64 bit, has 4 gb of ram, and has a 360 gb hard drive. The make and model of
the laptop is Acer Aspire 5738.

I guess that might help. It wouldn't hurt to know them. But I was just
thinking, Have you told Apple about this?

It's iTunes tv shows on my hard drive. On the laptop they work fine.
On the desktop, well not so much. Do you need the specs for the desktop
and laptop?

Odd. That happened to me with an old computer but only when playing a
DVD. I assume it's not a DVD we're talking about here? I was horsing
around and trying out the Plextalk PTR2 as a DVD player when I ran
into that since the PC's DVD player didn't work. It did something
symalar and the PTR2 got hot, and locked up. I guess it was due to a
slow transfer rate. So, what media are we talking about here? Could
there be some lag in the moving of data someware perhaps?

I've got 2 systems, one running Windows 7, the other running Windows
Xp
Sp3.
Both have iTunes on them. The windows 7 system works fine, the xp
system does not. The xp system will start to play a tv show, then
stop, then stutter, then start playing again. It does this at random.
I've downloaded the latest sound, video, and chipset drivers. Tried
uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and everything related to it.
I've tried running iTunes in safe mode. I have tried setting
Quicktime to play using wav out and gdi safe mode for the video out,
but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, and here's what it might sound like if I'm playing a video on
Windows xp.
Hello, are WeWeWeWeWeWeWeWeWeWeWe having fun YetYetYetYetYet? Then it
plays for a bit, then starts stustustustustustuttering like that again.
