This is the first I have heard of anybody finding a status line in WLM, very
interesting thank you.  

Personally I have not looked at the program for over a year at least.

David: on my Win7 Toshiba if if in Windows Live Mail, I press 
JAWSkey+PageDown, the read status line, I get the usual status line
information, number of unread messages in the folder I'm in, etc. It could
be the vews people are using that enable or disable this.
