Hello David, I had the same problem until a HIMS tech had me download a newer USB driver. I am using Windows 8 and a 64-bit system. There is a link below that you can use to download the USB driver he had me install if you want to try it. Your display should be in the USB mode. The switch on the side should be in the position toward you. If it is slid toward the back then Bluetooth mode is active. Terminal mode using a USB connection is what you want. You should unload JAWS after installing the USB driver. Put the display in USB mode with terminal mode chosen. After installing the USB driver you might even want to turn the display off, unload JAWS, turn the display back on and get it back into terminal mode using USB and reload JAWS. The link below is for a zip file. You will need to open the .ZIP file to find the installation file for the driver. I hope you get it working.
