Well, I tried what you said, the talking installer still won't come up talking especially when I've waited over 10 minutes before I started to get antsy and use NVDA no matter what synth I end up using with NVDA, I still get that error when the computer reboots after the fresh install of JAWS about eloq.jls and about it missing the necessary files it needs in order for Eloquence to read the screen. Still spinnin' right round in the circle of life and back to square one, the dilemma. This is weird that I'm the only one with this issue. Glad you all were successful in getting it to work. I'm just stumped and not sure how this problem will go away, followed your directions precisely and I'm not going to give up.

Please do not restart your computer until you reinstall jaws.

Hello All, I think I'm finally getting somewhere, but you can kindly input whether or not I'm on the right track of thinking seeing as is I'm still waking up and have already gotten ready for church, so here is what I was able to do and here is what I'm thinking. I went into my user appdata folder and went to where it says roaming then I found Freedom Scientific. Should I delete this folder since I'm going to do a fresh install of JAWS since I already uninstalled JAWS and the Freedom Scientific folders in both C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) folders now it is seen in the app data roaming folder under my username so was just wondering if I should delete it?

My friend had given me this HP G-72 laptop and it must be the way HP
installed Windows 7 because I can't even find C:\documents and settings
not even the all users documents and settings and I now see why several
don't choose HP but go with either Dell or something else, I also heard
that HP doesn't come to you to service where Dell does, and I don't like
how HP partitioned Windows 7 at all...which is why I can't wait until
rehab buys me a Dell laptop so I can put JAWS on there and not have this
problem because it will be a fresh install of Windows 7 on a 64-bit
machine. If I had a Windows 7 disk to do the fresh install, I'd do it
myself with sighted assistance, unless this new talking installation of
Windows installation I just heard about from Top Tech Tidbits would
help, but in that case I'd still have to have the Windows 7 Home Premium
64-bit installer disks and that might as well be expensive...so, JAWS
has come to a stalemate with me, and I don't think the FS team will be
able to help me, but I guess it will be worth the call on Monday...and
if nothing changes then, I'm just going to have to use NVDA until I get
my computer Rehab will purchase for me.
Well, I'm going to try to get some sleep. Seems like I keep spinnin'
right round with this issue, the circle of life as it may be.

No, the registry, doesn't store files. Registry just indicate keys

You can clean your registry of keys that are not linked to

cCleaner for this kind of problems. Really the registry is more

Just one thing. Try to place the UAC level in 50%, no more than this.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Introduction and a very annoying JAWS Error

Hello my name is chela Robles from concord California.
I've been a JAWS user since version 5.0 came out, and have
license for
version 10 which doesn't run under windows 7, so I've heard, and
so I
downloaded version 14.0.6005 build for 64-bit systems as a 40
minute
demo since I'm not authorized to use this version fully on an HP
G72
Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium laptop and I've discovered a very
annoying
issue which I've tried to solve using the below method from Freedom
Scientific about 6 times now and I'd like to know what your
thoughts are
regarding this issue and I'm so sorry if this topic comes up
often, but
since I'm new to this list, I'd like your opinions regarding
trouble-shooting this issue, please? Thanks in advance for your
suggestions.
So I downloaded the latest demo version of the 64-bit version of
JAWS
version 14, that being build 6005 in English, saved it to my C
drive so
I skipped that step outlined in the directions from Freedom
Scientific,
then I ran the executable and followed the prompts using the
NVDA screen
reader since the talking installer didn't work, then I rebooted
the pc
like one always has to when installing JAWS and I loaded JAWS
and got
this error:
JAWS
A file required by the driver ELOQ.JLS for Eloquence Software
could not
be loaded. One or more shared components are missing. Please
reinstall
this product in an effort to resolve the problem.
OK
so I pressed ok and followed the repair switch from the run
dialog box:
pressed windows r then typed in C:\J14.0.6005ENU-64bit.exe
/typerepair
and pressed enter and followed the prompts spoken by NVDA since the
talking installer requires Eloquence to speak since it wouldn't
speak,
and still no go, I still get the same error and I've done the whole
process 6 times now. I'm officially stumped!
Can anyone help me please with this issue?
You can write me offlist at cdrobles...@gmail.com as to not
clutter up
this list thank you again for your service. I greatly appreciate
it.
