Miriam, a friend of mine always says, "Things are getting worse; send
chocolate." I have a messy win 7 on my hands. I installed the classic
shell program the several jaws users recommended but it hasn't changed
anything. Ken is coming tomorrow but I'm thinking we should go back to the
main page format and start over on the main page.
I'm thinking that we should uninstall the win 7 setup and reinstall it since
some of the tasks Ken has done were futile attempts to reorganze the start
page byi getting rid of things. My win 7 should have been completely
cleaned but wasn't methinks
Then we could do a complete reinstall, then use classic shell or classic
view (shell is apparently a new version of "view." Otherwise, maybe I'll
throw the darned thing out the window. I'll let you know so we can talk
when I get something worked out here and calm down. Marilyn or classic

:: Hi Marilyn,
:: Unless you use a third-party program
:: designed to change the GUI (graphical user interface), it's not going to
:: happen.
:: The only thing available in "classic" in Windows 7 is the appearance
: of
:: the Desktop.
:: The plus with Win7 over Win8 is that 7 still has menus in Windows
: Explorer,
:: 8 does not.
:: Windows 7 does not give any option to change the start menu as in Windows
: XP
:: and Vista, but there is no need to be afraid of it,
:: just takes a little getting used to.
:: I don't find navigating it any faster as others have claimed
:: I work mainly from the start menu, and can still operate much quicker
with
:: the Windows XP start menu.
:: HTH,

::
:: Tomorrow's another day, another way!
