I do everything perfectly, however when the begins to uninstall, it stops and will not go further. A notice comes up about User accounts dialogue, Unknown, notify yes or no and I should notify yes to uninstall I assume. I do this but nothing goes further and it remain stopped. It seems to me I am not the owner on this computer or something is stopping my operations because I cannot uninstall this program and I should be able to do exactly like you state. I do not have the correct privileges today for whatever reason, but I wish I knew how to change this wrong designation somehow. Have any ideas??? Thanks always for your help. PS I think I will try the process once again because after a long period of time it cancelled itself. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Rick Justice Sent: Monday, February 17, 2014 5:09 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Uninstalling a Program Hi Liuda, To uninstall a program: 1. Press the Windows key, and type the following in the search box: add remove On my systems, I get as far as typing add r, and add/remove programs pops up. then press enter Alternatively, you can start typing: programs and features and press enter when it comes up. 2. When this opens it will present you with a list of installed programs, which you can navigate with first-letter navigation if you wish. 3. Once the program you want to remove is selected, press the applications key, and a menu will open, look for either uninstall, or uninstall/change, and press enter. 4. Follow the prompts that are in this dialogue by using the tab key, and/or up and down arrow keys. 5. You should be notified when the un-installation is complete, and whether or not you are prompted, re-boot the computer. HTH, Rick Justice Tomorrow's another day, another way! and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Liuda" <balciu...@gmail.com> To: "Jaws Users " <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Monday, February 17, 2014 2:02 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Uninstalling a Program I keep notes from messages of importance to the group. I need to uninstall a program. I am using Win.7 and JAWS 12. For some reason, neither of these two options works: *Uninstalling a program Once you are on the program you wish to uninstall, just press enter and follow the instructions. To do so, you must be on control panel, programs. When I try this I get to the prompt which stops me from doing anything to this program, least of all, uninstall it. *Press application on the program you want to remove, then choose something like uninstall / change. In the Application menu of my system, there is no word close to change or uninstall anywhere. Can someone offer another idea which will hopefully work??? Thank you very much.
