Hi Diane, I encounter the same problem on a daily basis with JFW 15 on different PCs running Windows 7. I brought this problem to the attention of technical support at Freedom Scientific on several occasions during the last year. The technical support folks diagnosed the problem as a sticky control key. It has nothing to do with your keyboard layout. And as Mike says below, the only way to resolve the problem is to reboot your computer. It would be great if you and others encountering this problem would report it to FS technical support so they can resolve the problem.

To restore it, the key may be, left alt plus shift.
